23:50 on September 3, UTC, VENTO, a container ship carrying 426 containers, ran aground on its way from Alija (Aliaga) to Ashdod at Cape Ammoglossa on the Greek island of Kos in the Aegean Sea.

It is understood that the VENTO wheel crashed into the sandbar, but fortunately the hull was intact.

The container ship VENTO was built in 2005 with a capacity of 1118 TEU (13952 deadweight tons), flying the Turkish flag, and deployed on the Turkey-Israel route by the shipping company Akkon Lines (Ikeen Shipping).

It is understood that in May, Akkon Lines, the world's 50th container shipping company, began to enter the Chinese shipping market, and the first FE route (FAR EAST SERVICE SCHEDULE) connecting China and Turkey has successfully set sail after being linked to a number of Chinese ports.

The FE route connecting China and Turkey is in the following order: Taicang-Ningbo-Nansha-Mondra, India-Arriaga, Turkey-Gemlik, Turkey-Gabze, Turkey-Ambali, Turkey.

In view of the fact that the shipping company to which VENTO belongs has opened a new FE route between China and Turkey and that VENTO is deployed on the route connecting Turkey and Israel, it does not rule out the possibility that there may be goods from China transported from Turkey to Israel on board the VENTO.

Therefore, the recent foreign trade export enterprises carrying this ship need to pay special attention to the impact of this stranding accident on the follow-up shipping schedule!
