"We don't want August 24 to be a disaster day for the marine environment."
On August 24, the Japanese government unilaterally forcibly launched the discharge of Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water into the sea in defiance of the strong doubts and opposition of the international community.
On the same day, China's General Administration of Customs issued a notice that, in order to comprehensively prevent the risk of radioactive contamination caused by the discharge of nuclear-contaminated water from Fukushima in Japan to food safety, protect the health of Chinese consumers, and ensure the safety of imported food, it was decided to completely suspend the import of aquatic products of Japanese origin from August 24, 2023.
At present, Japan's nuclear sewage has begun to affect many countries. South Korea, North Korea, Fiji, and Japan's own countries began to protest in the streets of Japan's nuclear sewage discharge into the sea. Seafood markets in Japan and several neighboring countries are slow, with fewer passengers than they did during the COVID-19 epidemic.
There is only one ocean in the world, and history will always remember this bad act of the Japanese government.
